DRWP Workshop Offerings for 2009-2010 School Year

We invite you to select the workshops appropriate to your teachers’ needs. While single workshops are available, we encourage you to link workshops together to meet the instructional goals of your professional development plan.

The menu is organized alphabetically by workshop title with a table of contents organizing the workshops into strands with grade level noted. Thinking about the following will help you plan effective professional development experiences for your teachers.

• Workshops typically are planned to accommodate a maximum of 30 teachers. Prior approval must be secured for numbers beyond 30. Please provide data on the number, grade level, and content area of anticipated workshop participants when you schedule the workshop.
• Teacher Consultants may need a quality overhead projector and screen. Most Teacher Consultants will need multimedia projectors for their Power Point presentations. If you are unable to provide these materials, please alert our staff when scheduling the workshop.
• Consider providing refreshments to workshop participants.
• Carefully select the space where the workshop will be delivered. Chairs should be adult-sized. Room temperature should be comfortable. A cafeteria is an unacceptable workshop space.
• The Teacher Consultant likely will need assistance bringing materials into and out of the school. Please arrange for someone to meet the Teacher Consultant to assist with this task.
• An administrator should introduce the Teacher Consultant and show support for the workshop by remaining in attendance.

You now only have to print the sign-in sheet and evaluation forms for your workshop. Please remember that we are unable to process your payment for the workshop until DWP has received both forms.
