Student Programs
Two camps are offered for 2010 summer:
- High school writing camp
- Elementary and middle school writing camp
2010 High School Writing Camp
The 2010 Student Camp flyer and application will be available in January.
At the Writing Camp, you will work closely with a DWP Teacher Consultant and peers to learn strategies to use whenever you write, from the beginning of the process, through drafting and editing, to the final finished product. The instructor will cover the following:
- Activities designed to promote critical thinking, reading, and
academic writing - Developing papers in detail
- Using sources effectively & blending them into your writing
- Developing a thesis and crafting an argument
- Style and voice-spice up your writing
- Effective strategies for analyzing, summarizing, and editing
- Start a portfolio of academic writing

2010 Digital Story Writing Camp (Grades 4-8)
The 2010 Student Camp flyer and application will be available in January.
This summer, the Delaware Writing Project invites students (grades 4-8) to join DWP Teacher Consultants for an exciting writing experience on the campus of the University of Delaware. For one week, students read, write and share their literacy experiences in an atmosphere of artistic freedom, intellectual challenge, technology literacy, and fun. We invite your child to join us!
